Final Experiment 2 Model

Experiment 2 Model

Ariel View- The Architecture joins The Square House, The Roundhouse, The Gym and The International House

Close Up Ariel View Of The Architecture
Meeting Rooms- These meeting rooms are within the spaces of the library, they connect well because they both require quite environments.

Studio Space- Here we can see that the studio space is in another space. The studio space is inserted into an area where students can relax and wind down which contrasts the intensity in a studio space hence, making it the perfect combination.

Office for staff- There is a door which slides in n out to ensure no conversation is overheard

Computer labs- Here we can see the computer labs in a space where individuals can relax, quietly converse with one another and look out at the surrounding environment while simultaneously incorporating a space within that space where student can play air hockey and speak loudly with on another.

Here we can see all the spaces and how close the are, this is perfect for students and staff as they can quickly move from on area to another with ease

Library-Meting Rooms-Workshops-Gallery
These Areas are combined into the library spaces, creating more spaces within spaces. This allows individuals to quickly transition between the tasks they need to do, whether they want to do individual study, have a meeting, head over to the workshop and finish of a project or just appreciate some Art in the Gallery.

The Architecture

Lecture Theatre and Research Space For Academic Staff

Moving Element- Individuals can move in and out of the architecture from the ground floor or first floor of the square house.

PLAN
This plan is also my elevation, creating an idea that the structure of the building will have these cross-sections that are the exact same no matter where it is cut form.

Experiment 2- Week 2

TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE

Moving Objects
The two cube like elements move up and down almost like an elevator, this allows individuals to enter the building easily from either side.

As we can see from this Ariel shot, the two cube like elements do not appear to look any different when they move as they only shift in an upwards and downwards fashion.
The stairs are an easy way for individuals to get into the building, they come out when the cube element is at the bottom and stow away when it is at the top

Hero Shot
This hero shot not only emphasises the size of the structure but also the way the sunlight moves through the transparent cylinder structure. Individuals can see and be seen from all angles bringing in this idea of being one with nature, almost as if there is no barrier between you and the outside world. The stairs also provide a 360 view of the surrounding environment as one goes up them.

Detail Shot
This Detail shot shows the inside of the underground structure. The playful colours and honeycomb surface invite people to walk in and admire it. The different ceiling heights also ads to this abstract vibe and playful feeling.
